Putin Dealt a Double Blow in Europe

Two international bodies have on the same day accused Russia of carrying out war crimes and human rights violations in Ukraine.

"Meanwhile, a lawyer for an international human rights group whose report this month outlined how Putin's forces had employed starvation tactics during the siege of the southern city of Mariupol in 2022, told Newsweek that "food and objects indispensable to survival are being weaponized across the conflict" by Russia."

Let's keep it real. At least 99% of these headlines which talk about how Putin has been 'dealt a blow' or is 'on the brink' aren't really anything substantial, much less anything he cares about.

In reality, these headlines highlight things such as civilian attacks and intentional starvation that people not named Putin are concerned about... and might support defending against.

Yes, his plan for Ukraine is working perfectly. Bwahaha. Douchebag.

@#2 ... Let's keep it real. At least 99% of these headlines ...

Cool. That's a rather specific stat.

Please show your work to come to that conclusion.

Or is your alias just venting miasma as it seems to be doing of late?

LEGALLY

Not so fast, Quickdraw.

There's been a slight change in Russia's fortunes lately.

In the form of Ukraine's long missiles of their own, supplied by President Biden's recent aid package.

Now the shoe is on the other foot. With the caveat that Ukraine is targeting military installations, not civilians.

@#6 ... Now the shoe is on the other foot. ...

I do enjoy the comments of Legally..., mostly because they seem to highlight an aspect of the current, I'll say, scenario that I may have missed.

That aside, and back to your comment...

I am not yet convinced that "the shoew is on the other foot."

Yeah, Ukraine's sovereignty-defense efforts against Pres Putin's unprovoked invasion seem to be more successful than they have in the past, I am just not at the point of "shoe is on the other foot" at this point.

LAMP

I should have said, "for thr moment."

Nonetheless, it's reported that Mr. Putin is in a rage over Ukraine's two missile attack on Sunday, claiming that the U.S. and Ukraine are going to burn in hell. Apparently, he didn't know about the "secret" long range missiles that were part of Biden's aid package or that President Biden had given Zelenskyy the OK to use them.

The two missiles on Sunday targeted an airport in Crimea and a prominent military encampment.

Ukraine is putting the weapons to good use. The information I am seeing from various organizations indicate Russia will essentially be out of APCs and tanks late this year or early next - without outside sources. Artillery unfortunately they still have years worth it seems. There is a real chance of Russian collapse 2025 winter/spring. The North Koreans coming to Ukraine may change things a bit. Kim is going to weaken his position at home by doing this though. As the North Korean bodies start to pile up the military may have serious second thoughts about his leadership... Especially with the North South sabre rattling going on currently.

The sole threat to Vlad is from within. So long as he can keep his internal enemies at bay and his health hold up, Putin will remain on the job. I'll wager he dies of some illness before he dies at the hands of another Russian...

---- off.

Propaganda is normal during wars, but when it becomes like a mirror image of what you'd expect from the "Pravda" news source, that's not a good thing. The only sure way to lose to someone like Putin is if we start unquestionably believing our own hype.
