F*** the olympics.

I'd LOVE to see Parisians turn them into a complete, utter s***show. And I only mean that semi-literally, I'm looking forward to Parisians literally crapping in the Seine, and the garbage workers going on strike.

The ---- olympics are among the worst things that can happen to a city. It's the stadium problem writ large, with public money wasted on sportsball being better off burned.

The Olympics should be held every four years in Athens, full stop. Set up permanent infrastructure and be done with the massive waste they generate every time they move to a new city every four years

Re: #4

Somebody else, I believe it was here on the Retort, suggested it way back when Chicago was vying for the Olympics

The left is obviously obsessed not with lifting up society, but instead it hypes the crazed desire to tear it down. They thrive on victims, more bad news, creating depression and drug problems and more homeless. Throughout history the left never fixes anything. It makes bad news part of the psyche they promote. Perhaps we find a protected land segment in USA (like chaz or chop) where the left can live amongst the criminal world and self made losers on their own. I'm talking about people with self made problems and illness from drugs. Use the money we save to cure disease that no one ever invited into their lives.

If your city has a homeless problem and it is chosen to host the Olympics then why not design the Olympic village so that the homeless can live there AFTER the events are over instead of just leaving the facilities to deteriorate in the elements.

Just a thought. Probably not a good one.

There's a lot of people who would just rather let stuff rot than let people in need "get it for free".
