Employee found dead at her desk days after clocking in

A Wells Fargo employee at a corporate office in Arizona clocked in to what would be her last-ever shift on a Friday morning. Her body was found four days later at her cubicle desk, where she died sometime during the weekend, according to the Tempe Police Department. Denise Prudhomme, 60, worked at a Wells Fargo location in Tempe and had scanned into the building at 7 a.m. on August 16. There were no further scans from her either into or out of the building, the police department told CNN in a statement.

Wells Fargo is reviewing its internal procedures regarding their employees' safety and wellness following Prudhomme's death, Pulido said, adding counselors were made available to affected employees.

I wouldn't be surprised if they wrote her up for unauthorized overtime.

I worked at a place where they tried to write up a guy that had 2 days left before he was going to retire. He laughed in their face and told them to FO and dared them to fire him.

They did nothing.

They have no idea when she stopped working so they should pay her as though she was working overtime right until they found her.

I'm sure she will be happy about this.

This is a reminder to use your PTO, take your sick days even if you're not sick, take you vacation, take your lunches.

Life is short and there is nothing sadder than dying at work at age 60.

I'm sure the job posting was listed to fill her position by mid day the 19th.

This is a sticky issue with work comp.

She died on the job. Is she entitled to the work comp death benefit?

Depends.....she was on the clock so more questions have to be answered.

cause of death? can it be tied to employment in any way? If so, then she (her estate) might be eligible for the death benefit.
