Women Voters Revolt Over Trump Vow to 'protect' Them

Former President Donald Trump raised some eyebrows this week when he vowed to be a "protector" for women, despite the fact that he has been found liable for sexual abuse and has faced sexual assault allegations from dozens of women.

... "You will no longer have anxiety from all of the problems our country has today. You will be protected and I will be your protector. ...

Sounds rather creepy to me, even more so, considering the source.

Sounds like someone who has women chained up in the basement.

"You won't have to worry about abortion anymore" = I am going to ban it nationwide.

You mean the constant liar is having credibility issues?
No way!

I read what Trump said and all I could see was a husband telling his wife that she "shouldn't worry her pretty little head over any issues or any problems because he would make everything OK".

IOW, what I saw in Trumps statement was the epitome of male chauvinist misogyny.

So what Trump said was way way way beyond just creepy. It was right out of the 19th century. But then, so was the Dobbs Decision and our media seems to have already forgotten that. And seeing how the polls are so tight, so has the public.

@#5 ... IOW, what I saw in Trumps statement was the epitome of male chauvinist misogyny. ...

I do not disagree.

If I may extend that statement a bit...

It seems to be the epitome of the white Christian male-dominated GOP just extending their self-proclaimed control of women.

It just reminds me of the time a relative of mine from Florida told me that ~ a women's role is to be barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen, making my dinner for when I come home from work. ~

imagine for just a minute that you made Trump's statement to a woman you are on a date with. Do you honestly think she's going to come back to the table after going to the bathroom?

Yeah, sure. He's going to protect them all the way back to when they didn't have the right to vote.

He's suddenly realized that women are a major contributor to his defeat. That puts them on the list of Top 10 problems that must be solved.

Maybe that will be a constitutional issue he'll take to the U.S. Supreme Court based on "the founders intent."
