In Case of an Election Crisis, This Is What You Need to Know

Neal K. Katyal: In 2020, when Donald Trump questioned the results of the election, the courts decisively rejected his efforts, over and over again. In 2024, the judicial branch may be unable to save our democracy. The rogues are no longer amateurs.

It appears based off the comments within the article that the Democrats are headed for the hills. Or as one comment or put it ... Have your passport up to date and your to go bag ready. What I fail to understand is we've already been through a Trump Presidency in which none of the things Democrats wildly projected through the media occurred.

I think you fail to understand a lot of things.

For instance, why this statement is completely asinine.

The depth of Trump's depravity nor the goals of the GOP's plans to systematically and incrementally declare war on democracy was kept well-hidden during Trump's 2016 campaign.

It was only on January 6, 2021 and the attempt to stop, with extreme violence, the peaceful transfer of power did it become crystal clear that Trump and the GOP had much more to lose than just an election.

Long story short

We all know the rest of the story after watching the many failures of Trump and the GOP's efforts through the legal system to continually and shamelessly contest the election, state by state, of President Joe Biden.

Now, here we are again in 2024, facing the same crisis, namely, the GOP's war on democracy. Their tactic this time is to adopt a page from Hitler's playbook. Create an enemy based on the principle that the if they tell a lie often enough, it will be accepted as the truth.

The real truth is that Trump and the GOP are using the 'Divide and Conquer' technique to create a crisis that doesn't really exist.

If Trump loses this election, it's over for him. And, of course, he'll respond the way he always does. With violence. But the GOP has a long-range goal to create their autocracy and it has nothing to do with Trump. Trump's visions of grandeur are his own. The GOP's mission to create a one-party rule forever transcends losing an election. They're in it for the long haul.

And I wouldn't count on J.D. Vance in 2028. He may have visions of his own but in the war on democracy, Vance is just a placer ~ someone to temporarily fill a gap if necessary ~ while the GOP searches for true, blackhearted traitors to carry out the mission for as long as it takes.

What Bluewaffles doesn't understand is that Trump EXCEEDED our wildest projections. She can start with Trump's lazy and irresponsible disregard for an encroaching pandemic that killed over a million people in a country that he took an oath to protect.

Add on his attempts to denigrate experts (Dr. Fauci) who knew 1000% more about infectious diseases than Trump.

Follow that with his 4-year long ego trip wasted on a personal agenda rather than the good of the country.

Then follow up with his cronyism, profiteering and self-aggrandizing for the benefit of is sons ad daughter.

Add on that Trump has been proven repeatedly to be a compulsive liar, cheat and thief.

Follow with his courting BFF relationship with the enemies of American democracy who are committed to the destruction of America.

And the list goes on. So yes, Trump exceeded our wildest projection. Never before in the history of America has any President or candidate for the office ever lied, plotted and schemed so thoroughly to destroy democracy, both domestic and foreign, that is the envy of the world.

If he wins this election he will certainly be a Traitor (with a capital "T" this time.) An enemy of the people.
No holds barred.

Keep in mind that Trump and the GOP don't like democracy ~ except for the part that gives them the opportunity to control the highest office in the land.

Once accomplished, the mission is to destroy democracy, thus preventing anyone else for seeking to take that control away from them.

No one will be spared ~ except for the lackies who bow and scrape before Trump and, in short, swear a lifetime of loyalty at the expense and sacrifice of any semblance of respect they ever had for themself.

Also keep in mind that nobody will have constitutional protection. There's a new Constitution on the drawing board at the Heritage Foundation as we speak. Along with a new American Flag. There will be no more "Old Glory" or "Star Spangled Banner" for the GOP's new government. In fact, to own one or display the Stars and Stripes in any fashion will be called an act of treason.
