The city's firefighter unions slammed Sunday a decision by lawmakers two days earlier to strip vital health care funds for 9/11 first responders from the federal budget after Elon Musk and Donald Trump nuked a stopgap spending plan, threatening a government shutdown.

It is really starting to look like MAGA wants to turn the US into a Russian-inspired oligarchy run by a dictator, where the state exists for the benefit of the wealthy and not for the workers.

Considering that Trump and Musk are the two biggest money grabbers on the planet, we'd be fools to expect anything less.

And guaranteed it's going to get worse.

They'll probably self-destruct, eventually. But in the meantime, many are going to suffer for the benefit of the few.
