Coyote Pulled from Supermarket Produce Shelf

A video posted to social media Monday morning caught the moment a coyote was pulled out from a grocery store refrigerator on the West Side.

Local CT news showed that video.

I like how the second officer was prepared for possible clean-up duty, with a broom and dustpan, as the first officer pulled the coyote from the shelf.

The news also explained it is coyote mating season and, as such, the coyotes may do strange things.

I understand odd behavior during mating season but doesn't that usually involve the proximity of a female in heat? How do dairy products in yhe cooler attract male coyotes? Oh wait, coyotes are just as f**ked up as humans. Think about it, if that cop had dragged a man out of that cooler would it even be news?

I remember when I lived in Altadena CA... in a home that no longer stands... (heavy sigh) and they used to eat pets not brought in at night. During mating season when their bitches went in heat... a few dogs would run away from home... never to return. You could hear the packs of coyotes yipping in the distance and the last yelps of some poor dog... thinking he was going to get lucky.

Back in about 1972 I got married, stupidly, and somehow it was decided I had to take custody of the family dog. Great dog, his name was Spiro. Named after Nixon's first Vice President, who had to resign because he had to serve time in prison for crimes he committed while governor of Maryland.gone now
So we lived in a little trailer park located right on A1A across the road from the most beautiful beach in Florida! And we had to pay $110.00 per month rent and that included our electricity! We lived there for a few years but then moved, I honestly don't remember why.
Some of the happiest days of my life were spent there living in that old 10 ft. wide house trailer. Youth! There is no substitute! I thin that most of us have been trying to regain it as we grow older. I had lot's of other good times but never any time since so carefree and fun!
And believe me, we had some fun in that trailer. Since it was 2 bedrooms we let a few of our feiends move in and out which sort of kept the party going. Sadly many of those old friends are gone now.

Spoke with my son who used to live in Chicago. He said this happens routinely because lots of stores with food don't have back doors that stay locked.
