Functional democracies have mechanisms for charging their criminal presidents with their crimes, even when they're still in office.

Our SCrOTUS says lack of immunity would cause a "chilling effect" that would discourage them from committing crimes in the guise of 'official acts'. THAT'S THE POINT. There NEEDS to be a chilling effect to discourage presidential criminality.

The orange menace should have been arrested on January 6 2020 and held until trial. And when that didn't happen he should have been arrested for espionage when they found the stolen classified documents and held until trial. As far as that goes, he should have been arrested in 2016 for conspiring with Russia.

Our 3 branches of government concept is fundamentally broken. We need a 4th independent branch, specifically for the purpose of prosecuting government corruption, outside of the control of the other 3 branches, and with no power over anyone but government employees and officials, an organization with the power and responsibility to go after corrupt politicians, judges, and cops.
