People Using Facebook A Question

I have a question. Those of you who use Facebook. Are you seeing an uptick of Right Wing and extreme Right Wing media in your news feeds lately?? Or is it just me??

Comments

It's called not being one sided anymore. You'll see things you don't like on there now. That was the original of social media until the Dems threatened to clamp down on those companies and they submitted.

When I visit Facebook, the Reel videos and other ads that are presented to me are, well, odd.

Quite odd.

I have been reducing my Facebook participation of late. But not because of Facebook's policies, but more because my nieces and nephews have move elsewhere.

@#1 ... That was the original of social media until the Dems threatened to clamp down on those companies ...

It was the social media companies who clamped down because the comments posted violated the terms of service of the sites.

So, your current alias' ~concern~ seems to be more with the social media companies enforcing their terms of service of the social media companies, and not the Democrats.

Zuck capitulated to Trump and fired all the fact checkers and moderators. Resulting in more rightwing bullshht.

Same thing happened to Twitter after Musk bought it.

@#4 ... Resulting in more rightwing bullshht. ...

Yeah, but the views I expressed in my #3 comment were because of things I saw on Facebook, grotesque things, imo, before Mr Zuckerberg seemed to kiss the most ample derriere of Pres Trump to settle the lawsuit.

They occurred weeks (months?) ago.

The images Facebook presented to me may scar me for life.

Can't really say Laura, I have reduced my Meta use to almost nil dating back to July. The algorithm seemed to just want to foment anger, either way.

I go on...look at the birthdays...wish my friends happy birthday and that is the extent of using it.

No it didn't. You still get fact checked on X and notes attached to your post. Even Musk got fact-checked on one of his posts a while back. But I will say this about X, it ain't free speech. I've watched very large monetized accounts lose everything for talking negatively about the Jooz. And not abusive either. Simply pointing out the flow of money in our elections and criticizing the bombing raids.

---- off dumb ----.

I just keep blocking the bs. Zuck's algorithms get the hint after awhile.
Either way, I've drastically reduced my time there.
