What's Trump's Beef with South Africa?

The White House announced that the U.S. plans to "promote the resettlement of Afrikaner refugees" from South Africa. Afrikaners are the mainly white descendants of predominately Dutch colonists.

Trump has accused South Africa of "human rights violations" and a land grab. The South African government has hit back.

Elon Musk is loving this as Trumpf is bringing apartheid to the US. Too bad AWB leader Eugene Terreblanche isn't alive to see this.

Lewzer quotes:

"Why Is @BarackObama constantly issuing executive orders that are major power grabs of authority?"

"The country wasn't based on executive orders,"

"Right now, Obama goes around signing executive orders. He can't even get along with the Democrats, and he goes around signing all these executive orders. It's a basic disaster. You can't do it."

At that pace he could sign 4,000+ in a 4 year term.

It's a basic disaster. You can't do it.

Trump says some white South Africans are oppressed and could be resettled in the US. They say no thanks
apnews.com

... Groups representing some of South Africa's white minority responded Saturday to a plan by President Donald Trump to offer them refugee status and resettlement in the United States by saying: thanks, but no thanks.

The plan was detailed in an executive order Trump signed Friday that stopped all aid and financial assistance to South Africa as punishment for what the Trump administration said were "rights violations" by the government against some of its white citizens. ...

I've dealt with Afrikaaners in the past. They are a proud, hearty people (rugby was mandatory in their schools to "toughen" their youth). I didn't care for their Calvinist racism and apartheid, but their history of conquering native people parallels the US. The genius and compassion of Nelson Mandela deftly maneuvered Suid-Afrika into a post-apartheid country with little bloodshed, although there are residual AWB deadenders (like America's Jan 6 lunatics, the Proud Boys, and the Oaf Keepers).

There is no beef with South Africa. He's recruiting people that know apartheid and are beholden to him personally; maybe even willing to act extra judicially? Similarly, the Secret Service is airing a recruitment ad during the Super Bowl. I wonder how many J6 insurrectionists will apply and be accepted? Knowing Trump, he's up to no good.
