Those threats were a felony, he made the threat, and provided the means by which he would kill her, thus placing her in fear for her life. Guess which one, the domestic abuser or the drug addict, is far, far, far more likely to use firearms against their romantic partner. If you had guessed the abuser you would be right. Battered domestic partners, especially when they are trying to leave the relationship, are one of the most common groups to be murdered by firearm.
