Crowd Lets Musk Fanboi Have It at Nebraska Townhall

The lively crowd of constituents at a Nebraska town hall in Columbus made their feelings on Elon Musk very clear to Rep. Mike Flood (R-NE) after the congressman voiced his support for the billionaire.

More

Woman to Rep. Mike Flood at his town hall: "Shame. I want to say shame for your comment that you said, 'President Zelenskyy's approach today was disrespectful to President Trump.' Shame on that." Flood then gets booed when he claims "Zelenskyy should have signed that agreement."

"No one cares."

Yes, that's what the dirt farmers are mad about.
Nobody cares about them.
Not even the guy they thought cared about them.

People do care. Rachel Maddow played excerpts from the focus group of Trump voters in Michigan last night on her show. Eye-opening:

Most Michigan swing voters in our latest Engagious/Sago focus groups said that although they voted for President Trump in November, they have objections, frustrations and fears about his behavior since he returned to power.

"Erratic," "frightening," "disruptive" and "dictator" were among the words they used to describe their concerns.

I can't find a link to the excerpts Maddow showed, but here are links to longer versions of the focus group:

"Erratic," "frightening," "disruptive" and "dictator"

Go back six months.
Poll what they liked about Trump.
Those are all the things they loved about him.

Erratic was The Weave.
Frightening was how he terrifies the libs who call him a Wanna-Be Dictator.
Disruptive is why he needs Elon Doge to get rid of the Waste Fraud and Abuse that has plagued our government for decades.
Dictator if all else fails, is what this country needs to get out of this mess.

The word for these people is fickle.

As such, they won't be learning any long-term lessons from this. They aren't capable.

"Erratic," "frightening," "disruptive" and "dictator" were among the words they used to describe their concerns.

Another word most of them used to describe Trump's first two months was "chaos." Frightening, chaos, dictaror--those are words you hear from Democrats, not words I'd expect to hear from Trump voters.

Here is what Maddow excerpted from the Trump voters at the start of her show. It's not long and worth a watch:

One thing a lot of them said is that they expected him to lower prices as he promised during the campagin. They don't see him delivering on that, but they do see him delivering on a lot of stuff he never campaigned on, fighting with Canada, e.g. A number of them are unhappy with Trump's tariffs and what they see as his dictatorial behavior. They aren't happy with Congress for not acting as the checks and balances with his more erratic and disruptive behavior.

Starting in a few weeks, every recipient of SS benefits will have to come off the farm, drive 60-80 miles into town, take a number, ger a hotel room and come back to the SS office a day or so later, just to present an ID that shows they exist and should continue to receive their benefits. Those of us nearing retirement age and the time to draw SS benefits will be lucky to get back what we put in, on a present value basis.

IF there is an election in 2026, every MAGA pol will have a very large target on their backs.

Perhaps the best thing that can come of this disaster is that folks in Congress might screw up their collective courage and put through REAL SS reform, to include higher payments into the system, longer time before qualifying for full benefits, and means testing for the richest citizens. That will probably happen AFTER Vlad and Z shake hands on a real conclusion to the War of Russian Aggression...

The word for these people is fickle.

I think the majority of Americans are poorly educated. They don't know how to make decisions, they don't understand confirmation bias and they generally don't pay attention to politics. Poorly educated people are easy to manipulate, con and screw over. FDT is one big lie away from getting them all back on his side ... it will be easy for him to get them back in line.
