"Harvard University's endowment is currently valued at $53.2 billion. This makes it the largest endowment among U.S. universities. The endowment's value has seen fluctuations, with increases in recent years due to strong investment returns"

With such a large endowment fund Harvard can structure for enough dividends off it to more than replace any of our tax dollars. Harvard dodoes not need our money - they just want it...

"or they could teach more than one class a semester"

Professors aren't there to teach.
Professors are there to do research.
You'd know this, had you gone to college.
Unfortunately for all of us, you thought it better to stay ignorant.
