In an average year, 4,122 people die and 7,726 are wounded by guns in Texas. That means more than ten Texans are KIA and nearly 20 WIA every day, like a warzone. These casualty counts are similar to the Vietnam War.

This tragedy is just like Abdul Rahman Waziri, the Afghan who fought alongside USSOF in Afghanistan, who was assassinated by a neighbor in Texas a few weeks ago.

In Texas, 45.7% of adults say they live in homes with guns.

By contrast, the entire country of Canada, with 40 million people, suffers less than 300 homicides by firearms per year.
