Mar-a-Lago Inspires Trump for Rose Garden Redesign

President Donald Trump's controversial redesign of the White House Rose Garden just took another intriguing turn after new photos revealed the space has been filled with yellow-and-white-striped umbrellas that bear an uncanny resemblance to those found at his Mar-a-Lago resort.

... Trump, 79, sparked furious controversy earlier this year when it was revealed that he was planning a significant overhaul of the historic space"which was originally installed by first lady Ellen Louise Wilson, wife of President Woodrow Wilson, in 1913.

For decades, the grassy space has served as one of the most iconic exterior areas of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., made famous by the colorful rose bushes that bordered the immaculately landscaped lawn. ...

Despite the backlash over the plans, Trump pressed on with his redesign of the rose garden, with images taken in June revealing that the grass had been ripped up and replaced with gravel.

Now, just weeks later, the paving of the Rose Garden appears to be complete. It is now dotted with a number of white tables and chairs, each of which bears its own colorful striped umbrella. ...

Take a look at the paved-over former Rose Garden in the photo in the article.

Gaudy.

He's not planning on leaving, guys. He's turning it into his gaudy, tacky pile of s&^% "resort" because that's now viewed as his personal home.

Not if it's white. In Trumpy's America if you are any other skin color you are also a waste of water.

Fess up, Donner, did you actually vote for Trump? You might as well have, since you and others are such useful idiots for him.

"Gaudy."

Tacky would be the word I'd use for it.

Re 9

Nope. I would never vote for an evil demon. I'd rather be sent to gulag in El Salvador.

Speaking of which. Trumpy does not even know I exist. And I'd like to keep it that way.

Thank you.

@#8 ... Overcompensating are we?? ...

I did a double-take when I first saw that picture.

I tried to be tactful when I ascribed "gaudy" to it.
