SCOTUS Blog writes about the Thursday emergency order allowing the Trump Administration to deport eight men to South Sudan, a country plagued with violence and the brink of civil war. In the dissent, Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote that Thursday's order "clarifies only one thing: Other litigants must follow the rules, but the administration has the Supreme Court on speed dial."
Breaking News: The Supreme Court said the U.S. could deport eight migrants to South Sudan, even though they have no connection to the war-torn nation.

DHS posted their press release about the eight deportees and berated 'activist judges.' These deported individuals, described by the Trumpf junta as "barbaric criminal illegal aliens," have no connection to South Sudan. Moreover, their lawyers or family members cannot see or consult with them unless they have a fortune to travel to South Sudan. The Eighth Amendment prohibits certain types of punishment: excessive bail, excessive fines, and cruel and unusual punishments. These prohibitions were intended to protect persons convicted of crimes from government abuses of power.
