The onion hits close to home again.
A guy I had known for a couple of years died a few months back. When I went to visit him in the hospital the day before he died they wrote a different last name on the visitor pass they issued to me than what I knew him by. After his death I was trying to find funeral info. I found nothing under the name I knew him by but when I googled him using the name written on the pass I found a Missouri state highway patrol page that listed him as a sex offender who assaulted a 12 year old about 10 years before I met him. He had done 5 years in prison.
He was a vocal Trump supporter.
