'ICE Goes Masked for a Single Reason'

David Wallace-Wells: "ICE goes masked for a single reason " to terrorize Americans into quiescence," a federal judge, William Young, wrote in a blistering 161-page First Amendment ruling handed down last week. "In all our history we have never tolerated an armed masked secret police," he continued. The judge, a Reagan appointee, compared immigration agents to "cowardly desperados and the despised Ku Klux Klan" and declared that federal efforts to deport outspoken protesters amounted to a "full-throated assault" on freedom of speech."

More

ICE's budget for the 2025 fiscal year is now set to roughly triple from the year before, as is its number of deportation officers.

A true statement, but oo fancy for MAGA.

In simpler terms:

ICE are pigs, and everyone who supports it are pigs.

"A true statement, but too fancy for MAGA"

ICE needs to be doxxed.

It's a question of community protection.

My memories of the 1967 March on the Pentagon have faded over the years, but some remain pretty vivid. After being in the crowd I moved to a more elevated spot and observed as the scene unfolded, leaving when a few bozos attempted to charge the building. Through it all you were talking in excess of 50,000 anti war demonstrators, troops and other federal officers. Rifles were out, flowers shoved down some barrels. It was an apprehensive sort of situation. And yet, throughout, I never once saw a soldier or marshal disguising their identity behind a mask. I did some searching this morning on the google machine and, nope, no masks (other than visors on helmets or gas masks for tear gas).

There is only one valid reason for ICE goons to wear masks: they do not want to be held responsible for their behavior.

"ICE needs to be doxxed [sic]."

You can't have it both ways. If you don't want law enforcement to wear masks, you shouldn't give them a reason to.

"And yet, throughout, I never once saw a soldier or marshal disguising their identity behind a mask. I did some searching this morning on the google machine and, nope, no masks (other than visors on helmets or gas masks for tear gas)."

A counterargument is that doxing (the correct spelling) was not as prevalent nor as easy as it is today.

ICE are goons.

SAYING that is much more than what has already gotten private citizens visits at home by the goons.

This next year represents our last chance to rein this in a calm way.

Otherwise I'm going to be visited and, know what? I think that you will be too.

The intent of the masks is obvious, but apparently not to everyone(!).

ICE could easily have secured identifying markings (with or without masks).
Are numbered badges/ID's no longer available?
Again, the reasons ICE does not is obvious.

"It's a question of community protection."

Protecting whom?

Whom is at risk from ICE.

When I go back to the US, ICE is the least of my worries.

They are federal agents doing the work of the federal government. They are enforcing federal policy. If you don't like the policy, don't blame ICE, blame the people who creates the policy.

The anti-ICE stance is just baffling to me. Would it better if the agency was simply ignoring US policy?

Trump can't allow next year's elections to go forward because if the did in any sort of free and fair way then there WILL be another impeachment, and this one WILL throw him out of office, and then he WILL be prosecuted for war crimes and crimes against his own people.

They are enforcing federal policy.

ICE is usurping federal policy from coast to coast. Americans have the right to defend themselves and their property. They should stand their ground and defend themselves and their neighbors. As soon as ICE enters their places of business, veihicles and domiciles, the agents of the federal government should be met with lethal resistance. Liberty over safety.

It's not a problem.

They should be doxed.

Judges, Prosecutors, and Law Enforcement are all known. They don't get to hide who they are. Hell, they get posted with names on the government websites and big smiling pictures so you know what they look like.

When Law Enforcement makes an arrest, they have to write up a little report about what happened, who was there, etc. It's all out in the open as much as possible. Body cam footage becomes available even.

ICE shouldn't be treated differently.

#51 | Posted by Sycophant at 2025-10-09 10:31 AM

It shouldn't even be a matter of doxing. ICE agents are public servants.
