Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, October 09, 2025

David Wallace-Wells: "ICE goes masked for a single reason " to terrorize Americans into quiescence," a federal judge, William Young, wrote in a blistering 161-page First Amendment ruling handed down last week. "In all our history we have never tolerated an armed masked secret police," he continued. The judge, a Reagan appointee, compared immigration agents to "cowardly desperados and the despised Ku Klux Klan" and declared that federal efforts to deport outspoken protesters amounted to a "full-throated assault" on freedom of speech."

ICE's budget for the 2025 fiscal year is now set to roughly triple from the year before, as is its number of deportation officers.

My memories of the 1967 March on the Pentagon have faded over the years, but some remain pretty vivid. After being in the crowd I moved to a more elevated spot and observed as the scene unfolded, leaving when a few bozos attempted to charge the building. Through it all you were talking in excess of 50,000 anti war demonstrators, troops and other federal officers. Rifles were out, flowers shoved down some barrels. It was an apprehensive sort of situation. And yet, throughout, I never once saw a soldier or marshal disguising their identity behind a mask. I did some searching this morning on the google machine and, nope, no masks (other than visors on helmets or gas masks for tear gas).

There is only one valid reason for ICE goons to wear masks: they do not want to be held responsible for their behavior.

"ICE needs to be doxxed [sic]."

You can't have it both ways. If you don't want law enforcement to wear masks, you shouldn't give them a reason to.

A counterargument is that doxing (the correct spelling) was not as prevalent nor as easy as it is today.

This next year represents our last chance to rein this in a calm way.

ICE is usurping federal policy from coast to coast. Americans have the right to defend themselves and their property. They should stand their ground and defend themselves and their neighbors. As soon as ICE enters their places of business, veihicles and domiciles, the agents of the federal government should be met with lethal resistance. Liberty over safety.

It's not a problem.

They should be doxed.

Judges, Prosecutors, and Law Enforcement are all known. They don't get to hide who they are. Hell, they get posted with names on the government websites and big smiling pictures so you know what they look like.

When Law Enforcement makes an arrest, they have to write up a little report about what happened, who was there, etc. It's all out in the open as much as possible. Body cam footage becomes available even.

ICE shouldn't be treated differently.

To those who support ICE covering their faces and refusing to identify, I ask you this. How would you feel if your local police were allowed to do that? Would you be pleased with the thought that you would have no way of knowing if the cops you are funding are on the Brady List?

A retired libertarian (meaning white Republican in his late fifties or early sixties) enjoying Germany with its ample constitutional protection from polizei abuse, strict gun control laws, universal healthcare, PX/Commissary/Space A travel privileges, and TriCare accessibility, is lecturing Americans who have to deal with ICE and the Dummkopf Trumpf nightmare.

I suppose this self-proclaimed retired USAF Lieutenant-Colonel is better educated and wiser than a US District Judge.

ICE shouldn't be dealing with Americans, and the illegal aliens have no right to know the identity of a federal officer. Every single one of them would file a frivolous complaint. Those who aren't supposed to be in this country are being deported and the sooner everyone accepts that, the better off we will be.

"You can't pencil in something to defend Ashli?"

Ashli fucked around and found out. Most of you seem to think she got what she deserved.

...but when George Floyd fucked around and found it, it was a miscarriage of justice and the grounds for violent revolt.

Both were stupid. Floyd was the only one who was a genuine piece of shit. I'm not sure how anyone can debate that.

But the constitution does not grant citizenship to anyone not born in the US, or residency to anyone at all.

That's one of my main complaints.

Trump is diminishing the value and protection of US citizenship.

To fulfill his goals, he has to.

"...but when George Floyd fucked around and found it"

That isn't a thing that happened.
George Floyd was under arrest and in handcuffs in the back of a police car, when police removed him from the car and murdered him.
You are full of lies and propaganda, and you want us to believe you don't even know it.

#106: Hi Snoofy: Thanks. On a different website I geolocated a so-called "American" who turned out to be an Israeli living in Safed enjoying our tax dollars being used for his universal healthcare and to kill Palestinians.

Germany has excellent healthcare for Expats, costing them 150 to 300 Euros per month. Possible locations for this libertarian include Ramstein, Kaiserslautern (K-Town), Stuttgart, or maybe Vilseck.

ICE sent 3 U.S. citizen children, including boy with cancer, to Honduras with their deported moms
An immigration group filed a lawsuit on behalf of two families, saying they were not given access to legal counsel before two mothers and their children were sent to Central America.

MadBomber will tell us ICE did not "deport" the citizens.
ICE simply "sent" the citizens to a foreign country.

Had Trump simply conceded the election, just like every other losing POTUS candidate in history, Ashli Babbitt would still be alive.

Swallow it.

Now don't do it again.

Carry on.

And each location has excellent PX/Commissary privileges.

If Ashli Babbitt listened to the cop that told her multiple times to stop, she'd be alive. Who did she think she was? Michael Brown?

It's funny reading Turds pretend to give a shht about Ashli Babbitt.

He's literally one of the most hatful people on the DR.

Must be a slow day in Germany for this Nazi to be spending so much time making excuses for fascism here on the DR.

"You are mistaken, as usual."

So...where would you deport me to? I am a US citizen. I have no other citizenship.

It's technically illegal under international law to deprive someone of statehood. Ref Shamima Begum, the revolutionary freedom fighter supporting the decolonization of the levant.

Should they have kept the kids and sent the mom home?

"And each location has excellent PX/Commissary privileges."

Technically, no.

USMIL retirees are not entitled to overseas BX/Commissary privileges.

You should get mad. Go smash an ATM or set a dumpster on fire or something.
