ICE Constantly Using Coast Guard Planes to Move Immigrants

President Donald Trump's deportation henchmen appear to have dramatically increased the use of Coast Guard aircraft to transport immigrants, according to flight data, activist flight trackers and video confirmation. Since June 23, the majority of flights operated by the Coast Guard C-27J Spartan fleet -- at least 263 flights -- are likely to have been for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), transferring immigrants to and from ICE's nexus of detention centers in Alexandria, La., Harlingen, Texas, and the Florida Everglades camp known as "Alligator Alcatraz," according to an analysis of public flight data.

We are spending all of this money to fly people around the country, and for what?

Someone picked up by ICE to be deported should simply be taken to the nearest major airport and sent on their way.

I saw this happen at work one night, it was pre 9/11 so there was no ICE back then. CBP showed up in two black SUVs, the floor man called whoever it was into the office. They let him grab his jacket and took him to Dulles for the next flight to I believe it was Dominican Republic.

This is laughably false. The US spends an enormous amount of money subsidizing the illegal immigrants Biden let into the country.

For instance NYC spent $12Billion alone on migrant and asylum seekers in 2024.

The Coast Guards budget in 2024 was $13Billion.

The Coast Guard flying a plane for pilots to maintain currency, and training, and flying a plane to deliver goods/people/services. Is nearly identical.
