EU President Ursula von der Leyen announced sanctions against Israel and new aid for Ukraine during her annual State of the EU address, with the timing shaped by Russian drone incursions into Poland and Israeli airstrikes in Qatar targeting Palestinian resistance leaders. The EU will suspend bilateral support to Israel, propose sanctions on extremist Israeli ministers and violent settlers, and seek a partial suspension of the EU-Israel trade agreement -- the first concrete steps after months of criticism that the EU has failed to respond adequately to Israel's horrific ethnic cleansing in Gaza.
"Man-made famine can never be a weapon of war," President von der Leyen emphasized, calling Israeli atrocities in Gaza "unacceptable." Earlier this week Brussels condemned IDF airstrikes in Doha targeting Palestinian resistance leaders, saying they "breach international law and Qatar's territorial integrity."
An international arrest warrant issued by the ICC for crimes against humanity and other depravations remains active for Likud PM Benjamin Netanyahu. An indictment is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Link: ICJ Genocide Ruling .
Canada announced it will recognize the State of Palestine at UNGA this month with other Western countries such as the UK, France, Malta, and Australia. And now Ottawa is "re-evaluating its relationship" with the Pariah State after Israel illegally bombed Qatar, murdering several people. PM Mark Carney is not "nice guy" Justin Trudeau and Canadians are lucky to have him as PM with three bellicose leaders causing the world so much mayhem and grief: www.cbc.ca
Irish broadcaster RTE announced it will not take part in the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest "if the participation of Israel goes ahead." Ireland's participation in the event "would be unconscionable given the ongoing and appalling loss of lives in Gaza." Ireland has won the contest seven times in total, most recently in 1996. Slovenia and Spain also signaled they won't participate if the Rogue Nation takes part in 2026 Eurovision: www.bbc.com

US-Israeli Plan to Hand Gaza Over to Private Real Estate Developers Advances
"The plan: Israel will complete its military takeover of all of Gaza, removing its people and bulldozing its neighborhoods. Despite the enormous human toll involved, the IDF would expel and destroy to the best of its ability. This would then enable the transfer of the "property" "clear of "every person and object" to an international real estate trust company established in agreement with the US government. US and Israeli investors would be the central players, with the UAE playing the role of key Arab partner. This is the current political future for Palestine being jointly pursued by the Trumpf and Netanyahu juntas."
What hostages?
The Netherlands will join the boycott of 2026 Eurovision if the Pariah State participates. I guess Israel, Russia, and Belarus will have to hold their own Eurovision contest for ethnic cleansing performers: www.euronews.com
