Lee's victory over republican candidate Ruth Bittner changes the balance of power in the Minnesota state house where republicans briefly held a one vote majority due to the vacancy. The makeup of the house now returns to 67-67. The two parties have already agreed to maintain the power-sharing arrangement that was established at the beginning of the session.
