There's two ways to get promoted in the military.
Be very good at what you do, or be black.
Those aren't my words, that's my old boss at the defense contract company, who flew A-6s in Vietnam.
Was he a Good Old Boy? Probably. Somewhat.
He told me to get into the health care field, all these years later I sort of got there through biotech.

Point is, DOGE didn't cut the military.

He was the RIO or whatever, before I offend any Naval Aviators who might be offended.
