ICE Claims Missing Person Search Before Arresting Student, Columbia Says

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents detained a Columbia University student early Thursday after entering a campus residence hall by claiming they were searching for a missing person, according to the university.

... Columbia officials said the federal agents arrived around 6:30 a.m. and made misrepresentations to gain access to the nonpublic building, prompting the school to object to how the arrest was carried out.

"It is important to reiterate that all law enforcement agents must have a judicial warrant or judicial subpoena to access non-public areas of the University, including housing, classrooms, and areas requiring CUID swipe access. Just got off the phone with President Trump. In our meeting earlier, I shared my concerns about Columbia student Elaina Aghayeva, who was detained by ICE this morning. He has just informed me that she will be released imminently.

Falsely identifying yourself as law enforcement is a crime.

Add it to the stack of crimes already committed by Pam's ICEholes. By both federal and state laws. Punishable by up to three years in prison, fines, or both.

This pack of lies worked because the folks with the university that ICE talked to are dangerously naive and over-trusting. A thimbleful of common sense would have resulted in the functionary who allowed access telling the ICE slobs to step off...
