German counterintelligence agents rendered a Russian terrorist ring ineffective. Three Ukrainian nationals were plotting parcel bomb attacks on cargo planes in Germany on behalf of Russia. Vladyslav T, Daniil B, and Yevhen B, were detained in Germany and Switzerland, accused of "secret agent activity for sabotage purposes." Germany is the second-largest national supplier of military aid to Ukraine after the US and has pledged unwavering support of Kiev. Richard Moore, the head of MI6, warned in Nov 2024 that the Kremlin was waging a "staggeringly reckless campaign" of sabotage in Europe while also increasing its nuclear saber-rattling to scare off other countries from backing Ukraine.
