... A federal appeals court on Monday temporarily paused the Trump administration's decision to end Temporary Protected Status for Afghan nationals. The stay, issued by the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, blocks the termination of TPS for Afghanistan until 11:59 p.m. on July 21. My main concern here is that the TPS status was given to the Afghans who helped the US soldiers in Afghanistan by providing, among other things, translation and cultural assistance. Emphasis on -- helped US soldiers.
Many (most? all?) of these TPS folk are those Afghans who risked their lives to provide needed assistance to our military.
And now, Pres Trump just wants to deport them? Just, apparently to meet a random quota proposed by Dep CoS Miller?
