"House Democrats forced the vote on the war powers resolution to direct Dummkopf Trumpf to remove US troops from Venezuela.

The sinister Trumpf junta told senators last week that there are no US troops on the ground in Venezuela and committed to getting congressional approval before launching major military operations there. But Democrats argued that the resolution is necessary after the unlawful US abduction of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro and since Trumpf has stated his greedy plans to personally control the country's oil industry for years to come.

Good-for-nothing Rep. Brian Mast, the Republican chair of the House Armed Services Committee, bleated that Democrats brought the war powers resolution to a vote out of "spite" for Dummkopf Trumpf."

The predominant military momentum of the US has been Western and Southern since 1814.

The War of 1812 was the last time the US attempted northward expansion when the invasion of Canada failed.

During the Civil War, the Union Army went south to defeat the rebellion, not the other way around. The last threat to the US from a southern direction was CSA General Robert E. Lee's attempt to seize the factories of Pennsylvania in 1863, but he was defeated at Gettysburg.

The US Army moved Westward to crush the indigenous peoples until circa 1890.

At the outbreak of the Spanish-American War (1898), some people in NYC, California, and Florida panicked about rumors of the Spanish fleet coming, but there was no threat from their flotilla of antiquated warships.

The direction of that war? South, where US soldiers embarked on ships from Tampa Florida for Cuba, and West. From California the USN sailed to the Philippines (Admiral Dewey).

Netanyahu and Dummkopf Trumpf will spew Islamophobic agit-prop and excuses for attacking Iran, like what Trumpf did for Venezuela with his blather about narcotics trafficking and "drug boats."

This time will be "we gotta save the protestors in Iran!"

Like these two ethnic cleansers really care about Muslim demonstrators in Iran.

Netanyahu wants a) Regime change in Tehran because Iran is the only country in the Middle East that stands up for the Palestinians;
b) Israel to have the monopoly on nuclear power in the Middle East. Note that Iran signed the NPT, Israel did not.

Netanyahu and Trumpf can certainly fool a lot of people, but not everyone.

The other threat to the US from the "south" was the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis; but this was seen as a counter to the 1961 US Bay of Pigs proxy invasion of Cuba.

Moreover, the Kremlin wanted US nuclear missiles removed from Turkiye, so they sent nuclear missiles to Havana.

JFK (and his brother RFK behind the scenes) adroitly defused the situation and nuclear missiles were removed from both Cuba and Turkiye. RFK told his brother that dealing with the Soviets was just like dealing with the American mob or corrupt union officials.

Incirlik AFB in southern Turkiye contains only US nuclear bombs, not missiles.
