The US Supreme Court has consistently held that constitutional protections, including the First Amendment, extend to all "persons" within US jurisdiction, not just citizens.

If CBSA inspectors asked every visitor whether they were pro-Palestinian, they would deny a lot of people entry based on this incident.

Next time I am at the US-Canadian border, I shall volunteer that information to the inspector when I hand him/her my US passport.
