Modern men are demanding a job they're not qualified for.

Over the past few years, I've written about trad wives ad nauseam.

I wrote an open letter to the guy on TikTok wondering where all the "real women" went. I wrote about why this generation of women is choosing to stay single and childless. I wrote about how historically, the trad wife is a myth; she didn't exist in the 1950s, and she sure as hell doesn't exist now.

I had hoped that time, rational thought, and the plummeting economy would nip this trend in the bud - but with Christian nationalism on the rise, it's only gotten worse.

Last year, a pastor went viral for saying that he "does not need to get [his] wife's permission to get physical," and that "'you may kiss the bride' is an ongoing permission." (Please note that as of 1993, marital rape is illegal in all 50 states.)

Some men are still obsessed with the idea of marrying a "traditional woman" who loves cooking, cleaning, and child-rearing as much as she loves pleasing her husband. But here's what those men fail to realize:

Even if we wanted to be traditional wives, we logistically couldn't unless we had traditional husbands.

Do you, good sir, meet the criteria to qualify as a traditional husband?

#3 You're right, Left Hind Turds!

My bride married me because...

As it says right in the article I posted ... and is 9 points answered ...

To begin with, 1. I have enough money to support a family

And ... 2. I own a house

And ... 3. We've been committed for 30+ years

And ... 4. I don't know how to play video games

And ... 5. My sperm has been, well, productive.

And ... 6. Suffer in silence? No need with my bride

And ... 7. Manly jobs? No need. I have sufficient income to have professionals work with me.

And ... 8. Yeah, okay, I confess: I don't go to church. Oops.

And, finally, ... 9. Die for my family? I prefer leaders who do not default that to a choice.

9 points by 9 points.

Answered each 9 points.

You're welcome.

The right-wing Catholics I'm paid to read are all about forming and finding trad husbands.

I read books from priests telling them to do so all the time. I got no problem with that. To each their own.

What I have a problem with is that the books read more like how-to manuals on being a decent human being. They feel compelled to tell men to

* Listen to your spouse.
* Spend at least 15 minutes a day alone with your kids (a jaw-dropping thing to have to say).
* When you come home, don't immediately start doing something else.
* Remember sex. It helps with procreation. Oh, and men can like it, when they have it with their wife, especially knowing that it could bring another cradle Catholic into the world.
