Eff,
Not that its so important people believe I'm into men, I'll respond to you.
As God as my witness, the summer of 1975 I was friends with Leo Matlovich until he was processed out in Oct that year. I was in the Navy and he was in the Air Force. We met at a gay bar in Norfolk. When we were friends I didn't know what was going on until he was on the cover of Time magazine Sep that year. Read up on him for yourself. He became a mini-celebrity of the gay cause.
I was also processed out that year for homosexuality. This was pre DADT. Simply gays were forbidden in the military. By the 70's things were laxing up a bit but still not good. Still lived in fear of losing your career.
After that, I ended up living with the Pastor of a MCC church in a large city not yet dedicated. Nothing physical. Just lived with him in a spare room. The church was dedicated while I lived there and became official.
I ended up starting college using GI Bill and moved where I am now. One month later I met my wife and we became friends but nothing physical. Just friends for quite a long time. The rest of the story is personal. Now we've been married over 40 years. I don't regret marrying her. That's more than a lot of guys can say about their wife.
A,
It's my wife so I call the shots, not you.
