Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans passed the largest health care cuts in history, slashing Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act, in order to fund tax breaks for the wealthy and big corporations. With these massive Republican cuts, cash-strapped medical centers, clinics, hospital wards, and long-term care facilities are being forced to slash services and even shut their doors. As hospitals and nursing homes close, people will lose jobs, local and state economies will suffer, and entire communities will be left without access to care. With Hospital Crisis Watch, we're exposing the full scale of harm Republicans are inflicting on America's health care system"community by community, hospital by hospital. The public deserves to know who's responsible. And we won't stop until they're held accountable. Link: Full Report. read more

Detainees held in Donald Trumpf's new jungle gulag in Florida are finding worms in their food. Toilets don't flush, flooding floors with fecal waste, and mosquitoes and other insects are everywhere. Prisoners began arriving at this torture chamber on 2 July. Inside the compound's large white tents, rows of bunk beds are surrounded by chain-link cages. Detainees go days without showering or getting prescription medicine, and they are only able to speak by phone to lawyers and loved ones. At times the air conditioners abruptly shut off in the sweltering heat. Insider accounts paint a picture of the place as unsanitary and lacking in adequate medical care, pushing some into a state of extreme distress. "The conditions in which we are living are inhuman," a Venezuelan detainee said by phone from the facility. "My main concern is the psychological pressure they are putting on people to sign their self-deportation." read more

D/FBI Kash Patel may reportedly join Deputy Director Dan Bongino in resigning if USAG Pam Bondi keeps her job. Bongino and Bondi clashed over President Donald Trump's administration's handling of the case of convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. The DOJ, led by Bondi, released a joint memo with the FBI announcing that the rumored "Epstein list" naming his associates never really existed. That conclusion contradicted Bondi's previous claims that the supposed list was on her desk. As a result, Bongino and Bondi reportedly clashed. That led to Bongino taking off from work on Friday "in protest." Bongino had also made it clear that he would be leaving his post if Bondi kept hers. Not long after that reporting, Olohan added that Patel has joined Bongino in his stand against Bondi. "Source close to DOJ says Kash Patel also wants Pam Bondi gone, and that he'd consider leaving if Bongino leaves. There are more frustrations with other documents Bondi hasn't released." read more

Mahmoud Khalil has filed an administrative complaint against the Trumpf junta seeking $20 million in damages. ICE detained Khalil for more than three months as the Trumpf junta pushed for his deportation. Mr. Khalil alleges false arrest and imprisonment, malicious prosecution, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and other alleged wrongdoings. The Columbia graduate would use the money to "help others similarly targeted by the Trumpf administration and Columbia University." Said his legal counsel: "He would accept, in lieu of payment, an official apology and abandonment of the administration's unconstitutional policy." In 2024, Mr. Khalil helped lead and negotiate on behalf of antiwar Samaritans and pro-Palestine students at Columbia University when the IDF was (and is still) bombarding the living daylights out of Muslims in the Gaza Strip during Benjamin Netanyahu's on-going Nakba. read more

Ukraine's counterintelligence service (SBU) arrested a Chinese father and son on suspicion of spying on its Neptune anti-ship missile program, a key part of Kiev's growing domestic arms industry that is critical to its defense against Russia. Although Beijing tries to project an image of neutrality, they are helping the Kremlin's war effort. SBU agents arrested a 24-year-old former student in Kiev after they provided him with "technical documentation" related to Neptune production. CI agents later detained his father, who had aimed to smuggle out the documents to the Chinese MSS. The father had been living in China but visited Ukraine to "personally coordinate" his son's work. Since Russia's brutal full-scale invasion in 2022, Ukrainian forces have captured Chinese nationals fighting for Russia on the battlefield, but these two men were the first arrested in Ukraine on espionage charges. read more
