The band I saw most, 3 times in the 70s, was Jethro Tull.

My first concert was when I had just gotten my drivers license at 16, and some girl talked me into taking her to see Herman's Hermits at Market Hall in Dallas.

Well, the opening act was... The Who. They did My Generation, Happy Jack, Substitute, some others, and then proceeded to smash guitars and tear up the stage.
