Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) said Tuesday that Democrats will move to hold former Attorney General Pam Bondi in contempt for failing to appear for a deposition as part of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee's Jeffrey Epstein probe.

"Pam Bondi refused to show up for today's Oversight deposition " defying our lawful subpoena," Crockett wrote on social platform X. "We couldn't care less that she was fired from her job as Attorney General. She is responsible for leading the White House cover-up of the Epstein files.

"Since she didn't show up, Oversight Democrats will move to hold her in contempt of Congress. The survivors deserve justice " and we will get answers. Enough is enough."

"Bondi and the DOJ writ large faced criticism from lawmakers on both sides of the aisle for its delayed release of files related to Epstein in accordance with a law that compelled the department to make them publicly available.

Victims of the late sex offender also slammed the DOJ for redacting the names of individuals connected to Epstein and publicizing their own information.

"This subpoena applies to [Bondi] regardless of her title," Garcia said in a statement.

"She must appear before the Committee, and if she continues to ignore the law, Oversight Democrats will move forward with contempt proceedings immediately. We will fight until there is true accountability and justice."
