Sounds to me like there were/are a lot of Palestinians that want nothing to do with either side but were trapped in that hell hole. As far as I am concerned, Israel is WORST than HAMAS because of the number of Palestinians they killed that likely wanted nothing to do with entire side but were trapped and couldn't get out; especially the children!!!

A condition for reopening the government MUST be the rehiring of all federal employees that were let go because of it and giving them back pay! I suspect that the only thing that will reopen the government is the Senate modifying the filibuster rules by putting in a carve out for passing the budget. It is the only way that republicans can solidify their budgetary and federal staffing "gains". The effect of such a move is going to cost them dearly in next years elections.

If, in fact, what he said was true, could it be that Epstein sponsored and organized those orgies and republicans in congress don't want their names exposed if the Epstein files were released?

It's been reported that DOJ notified Trump that his name was in the files. He was probably told about every name mentioned therein and now has something to hold over the other child molesters. This might explain some of the hold he has over congressional republicans, business leaders, etc.

I believe it will be. Both dems and repubs are dug in. The drastic price increases in Obamacare premiums will work in the dems favor with 70% of the people affected by it living in red states. I suppose you could accuse individuals at the city or state level, but it would not be as effective as doing it at the Federal level.

Use Trump's tactics as an example: do it and let the courts sort it out. However, Trump, as president, has the ace card: Insurrection Act. No doubt he would invoke it and claim Pritzker is an insurrectionist. This is something that Trump WILL do at some point. It may be better to force his hand before he is ready to play it. If he played it just prior to the elections, there may not be sufficient time for the courts to react to put an end to his efforts.

It's been reported that 70% of the people affected by the Obamacare subsidy and Medicaid cuts are in red states. This woman, a republican voter, is typical of many (most) of them. In all likelihood, republicans have lost this voter and many more to come. Poor, white, rural voters will eventually come to understand that they are just tools of the rich. Republicans will promise them anything (religious freedom, tough on crime, get rid of illegals, etc.) as long as there is little or no cost to it.
