Well, there is a reason these times are utterly empty when it comes to those of the right who are devoted to service to the Constitution and to the American people, all of us, even the very poor and powerless at the bottom of the economic pyramid, and that reason is that our President is as darkly corrupted as any political leader in American history. ahhh...I must take a few minutes to think upon my atheism, and the fact that I was educated rightly, including the part of my constitution that allows me to be free from other people's religions.

God is a symbol, like Santa Claus, and as such is fine. As an atheist I understand that behind that symbol is a human brain, nothing more and nothing less. So of course fellow humans will hold themselves to high standards that are often violated. Too bad we could assembly under a flag of social unity and love, but humans are led by the rich who are terrified that we, the people will demand safety and leaders who care.
We live in a time of corruption and degradation, where our unity is being attacked and destroyed, so the forces of fascism can take over. Fascism, defined by me, is the permanent rule of a few oligarchs over the many, using fear, hate, and intimidation.
Watching Trump mouth the words of Christianity, including god and Christ and fellowship...makes one feel like vomiting, even this atheist. .

Our American style public education for all children is our greatest feat, our greatest invention, and for Trump to attack that is to see, in real time, antiAmerican fools at work.

To be positive for a millisecond, one of the lessons to be learned here is that citizens' united has to be overturned, no one should be able to influence an election to the degree that Musk put his billions on the scales for Trump.

The Trump fascist empire does not believe in the concept of the "loyal opposition" but in truth a strong democracy is not possible without at least one strong oppositional party. Yes, we are struggling as Russia struggled as Putin killed and destroyed his way to unimaginable power and wealth. Just remember, when Putin came to power it was the war veterans and pensioners who stood on street corners and begged, as Putin didn't care to continue pension and social security benefits for the old and the poor.

Just review our attempts at regime change in Iran...look at how we replaced a democratically elected leader with the murderous dictator, the Shah of Iran. And then he was tossed out by the people and they were left with theocratic government.

All I can say is that the midterms cannot come soon enough...if after this debacle of an administration the people still vote Republican, well, we deserve the sorrow and suffering for electing a fascist to run our democracy.
