Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Friday, June 27, 2025

Fox News reporter Jennifer Griffin was literally taken aback by SECDEF Pete Hegseth telling her she has been "the worst!" when it comes to reporting on Iran nuclear facilities following Saturday's bombing directed by President Donald Trump. Hegseth blasted the assembled press for how they have reported on leaked intel reports and a lack of praise for Trump and his actions, which have received mainly bipartisan praise. "Before I pass to the chairman, because you and I mean specifically you, the press corps, because you cheer against Trump so hard, like in your DNA and in your blood, to cheer against Trump. You want him not to be successful so bad, you have to cheer against the efficacy of the strikes," Hegseth bloviated to the reporters. "But Jennifer, you've been about the worst, the one who misrepresents the most intentionally what the president says." Jennifer Griffin was visibly taken aback by the sudden and nasty rebuke as you can see in the linked video.

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) said after an intelligence briefing that it appeared to him that Iran's nuclear program had been set back only a handful of months. His conclusion echoed a preliminary leaked DIA assessment. DNI Tulsi Gabbard was incredibly excluded from the Senate briefing. "The president was deliberately misleading the public when he said the program was obliterated," Murphy said. "It is certain that there is still significant capability and significant equipment that remain." Without doubt, the reputation of the entire US national security team led by Donald Trump is in a complete shambles and another time and money consuming hunt began for the leaker. Link:Sen. This response is how you know your question is dead on balls accurate.

Whether it is Taco or Pickled Pete, they lash out when a question that hits the truth they want to hide is asked.

The misogynists always attack the women.

how dare the press corps question the regime's dictates. If Trump says it then it must be true even when it obviously is not.

Even the drunk rapist's mom knows Hegseth is pure filth.

... misrepresents the most intentionally what the president says. ...

Probably because Pres Trump so frequently [intentionally?] misrepresents the truth.

I just cannot get over the anger, childish name-calling, bullying and willful dismissal of US law by these cabinet officials.

Assuming there is an election in 2026 and the Dems take control of the House and/or Senate, one can only imagine the fighting and behavior of these Trump minions. Real role models--not!

I'm surprised there isn't more cheerleading in this thread.

Are Republicans not overjoyed at the Secretary of Defense calling into question the patriotism of Fox News?

@#5 ... If Trump says it then it must be true even when it obviously is not. ...

Yup.

I heard a different wording of that same concept ...

It is right because the king said it was right.

I have to wonder how long the Intelligence Dept employees who contracted him will be employed ...
