Capitalism and democracy are not partners, they are opponents, and sooner or later great wealth accumulates into fewer and fewer greedy palms, and one person, one vote democracy is replaced with one dollar, one vote capitalistic pretend democracy. Musk bought the WH for Trump, pure and simple.

The law is pretty clear, such a thing cannot not be done except after the death of the individual.

Cannot have American troops, heavily armed, patrolling American streets, without a danger from "terrorists", and narco terrorists fill the bill. I would expect the midterms to be full of blood and drama, because if Trump really were to lose both the House and the Senate, he and his family would be in court, pretty much all the time. It seems that influence peddling is an actual crime.
If I were Trump, I would be planning on 'retiring' from the Presidency so President Vance could pardon me, my family, and my entire gang of cultists, and if he loses the midterms, I would expect him to seriously consider such an action soon after.

Still, words for today's sold out Republican Party are just ways to cover their rumps...they will let Trump do anything damn thing he wants if it stops him from subjecting them to primaries.

Cutthroat capitalism, dedicated to taking from the poor of the world and giving to the billionaire oligarch caste, can rest easy knowing those two are working on things, for one thing will be certain, the poor in Ukraine will suffer, and the rich will get enriched, and of course, Putin, the puzzle master in all this, will get his palms crossed, his country made larger.

It is what cutthroat capitalism ultimately devolves into, corporate, oligarchic fascism with their being two nations, one at the top living like gods, the rest living as feudal servants on land owned by the rich.

Fascism isn't out to make friends, it is out to intimidate and dominate, and rejecting the poorer nations of the world...well, isn'.t that what the rich do each and every day in America?

I can pretty much be sure that of the first 100 American deaths, not a one will come from the upper echelons of the economic pyramid, and as Trump reduces the taxes of the 1%, it will be the poor in the US who will also be paying for such a war, if it happens.

Just accept the fact that we are now Russianized, our rule of law has been amended to include extortion and exclusion for those who oppose the fascists in charge, and our rule of law only applies to those who the criminals in the White House hate, to those it supports. well pardons for all.

Isn't it just a little embarrassing for the Republican Party to have a President who is like a five year old, needs praise and constant bowing and kissing of his ring?

Inevitable..if the Republican Party loses the midterms in a big way, I look for Trump to pull a Nixon, and after making sure Vance or whoever is his VP at the time is compliant, and simply resign. And then the VP becomes President, and quickly Vance pardons Trump, Trump's family, the entire MAGA grifting empire...and then leaves office when the Dems take over, to run a bankrupted country.
Either resign, or call upon his violent army to stop the 2028 elections.

A nation is bankrupt when it cannot pay its bills, and will not play its debt. When one's creditors see that all one can do is pay off the service on the debt, but cannot pay the main amount, ever, it is all over.
Clearly, Trump sees that the only way to pay America's debt and not increase the taxes on his billionaire buddies is to take from the poor..so hello attack on SNAP, SS, Medicare, and so on.

Many of us out here lost in this America know in our heart of hearts that fascist cutthroat capitalism is in charge, they own Wall Street, Congress, certainly the federal Supreme Court, and Trump doesn't mind being called a fascist because at this point, he is doing what he can to take from the poor and give to the rich.
Fascism is the permanent rule of the very few very rich over the great many, using fear, intimidation, domination and violence...kinda Trump's war plan, war against we at the bottom of the economic pyramid plan.

And, I am sure, "Justice" Roberts is not done delivering this Constitutional Republic to those who run things...the American oligarchs.

I am certain of one thing, being 79, and being born just after WWII, my parents and grandparent's generations would have been shocked to see how far America has fallen, how terrible a President, Trump, it elected, twice. So many around the world died fighting fascism, including Russians, and here we have Russia led by a true fascist, and America being run by a Republican Party without regard to the rule of law.

I figure Trump and Putin, in their minds, have already carved up the modern world, with a nod to China of course.

Oh, Trump will be on the trail, and so will Vance. If the Republican Party loses both the House and the Senate..Trump will be investigated and impeached once again.
I suspect it that happens, Trump will pull a Nixon, and resign and have his VP assume the Presidency and do what Gerald Ford did, and pardon Trump and his family for each and every grifting influence peddling crypto stunt they pulled on their way to great wealth.

America has had porous borders ever since 1964 when the Bracero Program was ended. It was how crops got picked, though it was also why it was so hard for the field workers to organize. IF Trump were really serious he would have had his gang pass draconian laws against big employers of those who are undocumented. Every hard right to outright fascist political movement has as its banner cause...hate on the strangers.

What on earth would Trump do if in fact the midterms go the Democrats way, and they hold both the Senate and the House?
I really am wondering if those elections are going to be held...insurrection, Martial Law, foreign wars...
