Thanks! Luckily it's a move of choice, not necessity.

The market is a mess, though, thanks largely I'm guessing to AI.

It's not been uncommon to see advertisements that are only a day or two old with several hundred applications already submitted. I'm guessing most of that is just mass AI spamming of openings that create so much noise it's hard to get through to get a shot at being noticed.

It was breathtaking, JPW.

I hope you and your son can see a launch in person.

His face during high quality shuttle launch videos with sound waaaaay up is priceless. I can only imagine what his response would be to the launch of SLS, which is much larger and much more powerful such that he'd feel it as much as hear it.

Social media and a press/media absconding on their duties to accurately inform in order to capture audiences and drive engagement for ad dollars.

At its root, it's simple greed that's our downfall.

AI is an oversold tool. Nothing more.

I'm currently on the job market looking for a new position and I've been using AI to help with resume polishing/optimization, cover letter drafting ect.

It still requires significant work to get to a usable document once AI has spit out its version. Most of the time, both documents are littered with phrases/buzzwords that flag it as AI, so you have to sort those out. Then you have to tone down the claims and descriptions it make in your documents because it ALWAYS oversells DRAMATICALLY. Like claiming experience and accomplishments mentioned nowhere in the original document.

About the only thing it's good for is working in every key term possible to pass ATS screening and assessing whether or not you're a good match for a given job listing. That's it. And even the assessment part is a bit off because of the above mentioned issues.

I can only imagine the issues with other more complex processes.

Expect Crusader Pete to commit whatever blasphemy necessary to smear this guy.

My son is currently big into space and rockets. Loves watching YouTube videos of launches and animations about how stuff works, ect. Makes a STEM dad proud.

I'm hoping to take him to see this. A delay in the launch by about two weeks would be perfect.

So, the effect of the selling will be minimal. Of more concern, though, is the effect of the statement explaining the sale.

Any decent Agent-in-Charge (AIC) or Site Commander in normal times would have been mortified that his SWAT team came up empty-handed after all the expenditure of manpower and money, and worse, that they detained an innocent person and made him suffer with humiliation and freezing temperatures.

There are no decent AICs on these raids and the fact that there was no danger or target of interest there is a feature, not a bug. These cosplay p^&&ies just want to kick in doors and play toy soldier without actually risking anything.

The only thing that's hilarious is how clear it is that you are, as usual, completely uninformed and lacking any understanding of what you're commenting on.

It isn't the loss that's newsworthy, it's the reasons for it - namely global markets and investors have soured so much on US chaos and corruption they're undermining the very foundation of the US and global economic order as a response.

This is a road that tanks our economy beyond anything we've experienced.
