It is also called "Linear No-Threshold" and it is very complicated. I am not concerned about it, the standards for nuclear facilities are so high that even if they were lowered greatly it wouldn't be a concern.

Hank Green recently posted a YouTube short in which he threw out the idea of putting nuclear power plants on the grounds of old coal plants. A girl working on her graduate's degree in nuclear engineering pointed out that that would not work because there are no radiation standards for coal plants and coal plants release hundreds of times more radiation than nuclear plants, and so putting a nuke plant on the grounds of a coal plant would mean that the radiation standards would suddenly apply to it and all that radiation that the coal plant has been emitting would need to be cleaned up.
