Trump-aligned Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry is reeling from a bruising loss after voters in his state " which typically backs Republicans by comfortable margins " categorically rejected a series of amendments he pushed to overhaul the state constitution in the GOP's favor, reported The Advocate. job openings continue to surprise 'experts'.

Surprise.

www.usatoday.com

"Private employers added only 37,000 jobs in May, according to the ADP National Employment Report released on June 4, significantly fewer than the 110,00 jobs that economists polled by Reuters had predicted. It was the smallest gain ADP has monitored since March 2023.

Leisure, hospitality and financial sectors produced the most newly added jobs in May, according to the report, while 3,000 jobs were lost in manufacturing ' an area that Trump has tried to rejuvenate with his sweeping tariffs on imports."

WINNING!

When they were first built, people were told the tolls were a temporary fixture to pay for the costs of construction, then they'd be removed. These toll bridges are still collecting money from the working poor today.

I remember back in 1985 when my county put in a "temporary" 1% addition to the sales tax. Here it is 40 years later and the 1% has expanded to 1.75% and is still "temporary". It is a joke.

Sales taxes are the most regressive taxes on the poor.

The sad reality is the GCCCP is trying to resurrect the "fair tax"...a 30% national sales tax on EVERYTHING.
