Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is hiding in the back of the closet :)

Wayyyyy in the back.

Wearing his mom's summer dress, and some nice open toe sandals.

Rename it the USNS John Wayne.

Hegseth is such a puny bitch, his staff must have loads of dirt already.

A Department Of Defense book tour sounds spectacular!

Not for an oiler. There's a carrier coming up named for a black man, maybe they could save it for that.

Backstory ...

Harvey Milk
en.wikipedia.org

... Harvey Bernard Milk (May 22, 1930 " November 27, 1978) was an American politician and the first openly gay man to be elected to public office in California, as a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.

Milk was born and raised in New York. He acknowledged his homosexuality in adolescence but secretly pursued sexual relationships well into adulthood. The counterculture of the 1960s caused him to shed many of his conservative views about individual freedom and sexual expression.

Milk moved to San Francisco in 1972 and opened a camera store. Although he held an assortment of jobs and frequently changed addresses, he settled in the Castro, a neighborhood that was experiencing a mass immigration of gay men and lesbians. He ran for city supervisor in 1973, but the existing gay political establishment resisted him. Milk's campaign was compared to theater due to his personality, earning media attention and votes, although not enough to be elected. He campaigned again in the next two supervisor elections, dubbing himself the "Mayor of Castro Street". The voter response caused him to also run for the California State Assembly.

Due to his growing popularity, he led the gay rights movement in battles against anti-gay initiatives. Milk was elected city supervisor in 1977 after San Francisco began to choose neighborhood representatives rather than city-wide ones. During Milk's almost eleven months in office, he sponsored a bill banning discrimination based on sexual orientation in public accommodations, housing, and employment. The Supervisors passed the bill by a vote of 11"1, and Mayor George Moscone signed it into law. On November 27, 1978, Milk and Moscone were assassinated by Dan White, a disgruntled former city supervisor who cast the sole vote against Milk's bill. ...

FTA: "Secretary Hegseth is committed to ensuring that the names attached to all DOD installations and assets are reflective of the Commander-in-Chief's priorities, our nation's history, and the warrior ethos"

Harvey Milk was a true warrior who fought in defense of US citizens, unlike Peter Hesgeth.

I don't believe Harvey would have wanted to be anywhere but closer to our fine seamen, so I am outraged!

"Warrior ethos"? More like pathos.

Tor,

"He was a groomer.
and his military service wasn't impressive compare to other gay people."

I bring something up from time to time because it was an honor to have known someone.

The summer of 1975 I was in the Navy and was friends with Leonard Matlovich who was in the Air Force. Sept of that year he was on the cover of Time magazine with the caption "I am a Homosexual". Believe it or not, that was actually earth shattering news for a lot of mainstream America who believed the military was all straight.

He was the first active duty gay person to deliberately out himself to his commanding officer and bring the wrath of the military anti-gay policy onto himself. This was long before DADT when simply no gays were permitted and you had to lie to sign up and live in continual fear of being exposed. I ended being discharged the end of that year. I got 2 versions of my DD-214. One said "Homosexuality-Unfitness" and the other left that box blank. I got a General Under Honorable conditions discharge and retained all benefits.

Leo had an exemplary military record and deserved to be recognized more than he was.

He was known well by many gay people but they didn't make a movie about him.

From the link your current alias cites (and thx for finally providing any manner of substantiation of its comments ...)

...It is true that in 1964, Milk, then 33 years old, entered a relationship with Galen McKinley, who was 16 years old, according to the Milk biography, "Harvey Milk: His Lives and Death." The relationship started in New York City. ...

Later, the pair spent time in California, where the age of consent has been 18 years old since at least 1920. Their California sojourn occurred around 1969, when Galen McKinley was 23 years old. The two remained a couple until at least 1970 and they stayed in touch for years after that.

In sum, while it is possible Milk's relationship with Galen McKinley may have violated the laws of consent in the state of New York in 1964, it does not appear that modern psychological standards would deem him a pedophile.

So, did he sexually assault a 16-year-old boy, as your current alias asserts? Or was it consensual?

Why would you do that, that's the part we really don't understand.

#41 | Posted by snoofy at 2025-06-05 06:49 AM | Reply

Snoofy,

"Why would you do that, that's the part we really don't understand."

My parents split up when I was in Middle School. Couldn't live with my mom or my dad. Neither worked out.

No other relatives. No siblings or other relatives I knew.

My dad was Army all my childhood and we moved constantly so I had no stability. I dropped out of high school after 10th grade.

I turned 17 and had to get on my own. Mom was pretty messed up from the divorce and my dad couldn't relate to me so we had no relationship. After trying to live with him things began turning violent. Lost contact with him when I signed up.

Right after turning 17 I joined the Navy. My entrance exam qualified me for anything I wanted to do except nuclear.

After being assigned to a squadren (I had gone into avionics), while on a cruise I was spotted overseas coming out of a gay bar by men I worked in the same shop.

The military was about my only option I could see at the time so that's the reason I joined.

The specifics when I became sexually active is more detail than is anyone's business.

No coincidence this is how the Trump Department of Defense celebrates Pride Month.

BillJohnson doesn't even think it's a slap in the face. To the contrary, he knows gays need to be kept in their place in the closet and out of the military.

Alex,

If people would suggest Trump is the antichrist, a literal figure from the Bible, its not unreasonsible to point to other Biblical entities as well

Howevern, the last I checked, the tooth fairy isn't mentioned anywhere in Scripture.
