It's especially ironically egregious to these folks since through most of our history women and minorities not only didn't get help from DEI, but had to work extra hard and long to overcome the sexism and racism of the times.

And isn't this the same folks who were bleating that tearing down monuments to Confederates was "erasing history"?

Is their assertion that any accomplishment that wasn't made by white men was due to DEI. That every woman or minority only ever did anything with the help of DEI?
