Speaking with reporters on Friday, Mr. Trump said the deal came out of a meeting last week with Intel CEO Lip Bu Tan " which came days after the president called for Tan to resign over his past ties to China. I made this point the other day.

This is likely a critical point in our nation's history, it sure feels like one. The Trump administration has aggressively been attacking a whole gamut of institutions, which has greatly upset non Magas. Between ICE raids, attacks on Universities, law firms, corporations, the government bureaucracy, the occupation of US cities despite zero justification, etc. Combined with massive corruption, disastrous foreign policy efforts-tariffs, Gaza and Ukraine, an economy on the brink, etc.

Into this tinderbox is thrown the firebomb of the killing of a well known and influential conservative public figure (who happens to have expressed vile hate).

What we need RIGHT NOW, is a President like Lincoln, who can use the bully pulpit to calm the nation, to bring us together.

I fervently believe that is what the VAST majority of Americans WANT-to NOT descend into violence.

I believe that Trump, if he were a different man, could seize this opportunity to be an actual GREAT president. All he would have to do is to condemn all violence, admit his own part in this, to begin acting and communicating like the President of ALL Americans.

While not the sole cause of our current problems he is certainly a central figure in the destructive divisiveness. Where dem politicians have occasionally used divisive language about small segments of the population, Trump doesn't go a day without viciously attacking anyone who doesn't agree with him. And it is getting to a boiling point.

If only Trump were a different man, but if he were a different man we wouldn't be here to begin with.

For years, those on the radical left have compared wonderful Americans, like Charlie, to Nazis and the world's worst mass murderers and criminals. Trump " I'll tell you something that's gonna get me in trouble but I couldn't care less. The radicals on the right oftentimes are radical because they don't want to see crime. The radicals on the left are the problem."

Lincoln "With malice toward none, with charity for all, with firmness in the right as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in, to bind up the nation's wounds, to care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow and his orphan, to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves and with all nations."

Actually having studied history makes me sooooo melancholy

hat's a very liberal site. Maybe you need to start getting your news from a site that maybe gives Trump credit or says something nice about him.
I'm tired of looking at news sites that only bash Trump, which is almost all of them.
