I can't see Mr. Putin agreeing to end the war with Ukraine when it would mean giving up his lifelong goal of restoring Russia to the former USSR, thus cementing his legacy as the greatest leader Russia has ever known.

Mr. Putin doesn't want bitsy parts & pieces of Ukraine. He wants the whole country. Ukraine is his steppingstone to Eastern Europe.

It's unlikely that Mr. Putin would let an incompetent twerp like Trump get in his way. Especially since the original plan was for Trump to abandon the NATO alliance and have Mr. Putin's back for the invasion.

So, let's try to stick to the 21st Century. Trump is rapidly trying to throw an impenetrable autocratic net around this country and the only way (well, there is one other way) to stop is to vote while we still have a chance.

Actually, I agree with both of you. If ever anyone had a motive and the means to eliminate a live witness who was in a position to bargain for a deal that would bring down the final curtain on Donald Trump, the order almost certainly came from the person who had the most to gain.
