Now, thanks to the BBB, millions who buy private health insurance on the exchange can't afford the premiums.

But they have no problems spending hundreds of millions on a war of choice. Money that COULD have been used to keep subsidies.

Iran-linked hackers breach FBI director's personal email, publish photos and documents

WASHINGTON, March 27 (Reuters) - Iran-linked hackers have broken into FBI Director Kash Patel's personal email inbox, publishing photographs of the director and other documents to the internet, the hackers and the bureau said on Friday.

On their website, the hacker group Handala Hack Team said Patel "will now find his name among the list of successfully hacked victims." The hackers published a series of personal photographs of Patel sniffing and smoking cigars, riding in an antique convertible, and making a face while taking a picture of himself in the mirror with a large bottle of rum.

Judge Rita Lin on Thursday sided with the artificial intelligence (AI) company in an order finding that directives from President Donald Trump and US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth that all government agencies immediately stop using Anthropic tools could not be enforced for the time being.

Judge Lin wrote in her order that the government was attempting to "cripple Anthropic" and "chill public debate" because of the company's concerns over how its technology was being used by the US Department of Defense. "This appears to be classic First Amendment retaliation," the judge added.

The order means that Anthropic's tools, like Claude, will continue to be used in the government and by any outside company working with the military until the lawsuit is resolved.

Only if they get their way. We made it through the Gilded Age. Teddy Roosevelt broke up the monopolies because the public was dissatisfied. We're in the same place, different era. I'm optimistic we'll come out of this. America has a history of taking two steps forward and one step back, but we eventually do end up better than before.

When I was a teenager Ocala was mostly a bunch of citrus groves. Orlando too. Worked a couple of days with a buddy and his dad picking oranges. It was weird how some orange trees grew other fruit like limes or grapefruit. When we'd go over the Howard Franklin bridge, we'd throw oranges into Tampa Bay. Sometimes sharks came up to see what just splashed the surface. Beach towns were mostly weekend cottages, and not too fancy. Old Florida was pretty cool.
