The border has been successfully closed within a year.

I don't have a strong opinion on deportation. I understand the importance of finding the trouble makers, and I hope a fast track method for people who meet basic requirements for citizenship can be established.

Otherwise....well....I'm glad to be far away from it. I avoid heart wrenching videos they show for ratings.

It's messy but someone had to quit kicking the problem down the road.

In Biden's defense, those flights were probably signed by autopen, while he was getting briefed on what he "signed" yesterday.

The problem is 2 parts.

The border....checked.

The undocumented people which Biden made worse....unchecked.

He was flying them in.

It probably was autopen. It's just too ridiculously extreme and ---- stupid.

You're downplaying Trump's urgency to address something his voters had as a high priority when they voted.

Regardless of your opinion or your desire to call people racist, his voters wanted something done.

I've written in the past the border needs closed before attempting to deal with the millions of people.

If there was more time, perhaps a fast track to citizenship for selected vetted people could be created.

Perhaps something like that is in the works. Would be nice.

Millions of undocumented people is an unwieldy number.

This is an unfortunate mess every polician who ignored the problem is to blame

People talking about the number of deaths in Gaza should appreciate the cease fire that should be imminent. God willing this will happen with cooler heads and wisdom all around.

The immigration problem, there's absolutely nothing sweet about it.

I'm not in charge so I can't do a thing about it.

I know it's a bad situation but so is millions of undocumented people living here. It needs addressed rather than ignored as usual. Many Trump voters had that on their mind when they voted for him. He's doing what he said he would.

I'm not unsympathetic to the process being employed and problems and mistakes.

But how much more should this be going on? Without Trump our border would still be a sieve.

Regarding this immigration issue, we needed a leader willing to step up to the plate and swing.

The US keeps swinging between the two instead of balancing them. Why?

It's not confusion. It's a moral tug-of-war baked into how people and governments operate.

But...the problem is they can't operate at the same time.

Sort of like the police play "good cop, bad cop". Or in families kids hear, "go ask your mom" or "go ask your dad".

Whats going on is really nothing new.

Unfortunately, up to recently, regarding people here illegally, for the most part, the "good cop" has been running the show, and now the "bad cop" is being put in charge.

But they can't be in charge at the same time.

Oh...and one more thing I can say about Trump.

He's attempting to keep some campaign promises which is unheard of really in the world of politics.

I suppose it's because I don't have that special gift, like some people, especially liberals, to know exactly what others mean and are thinking.

Body language experts can make educated guesses, but even they get it wrong sometimes.

Without more concrete information, what conclusions could I possibly make with certainty?

The only guess I'll make with certainty about Trump is he knows a lot more about what's going on behind the scenes than I do.

And apparently Trump isn't the screw up liberals try to make him out to be.

Not exactly.

Supposedly a fake photo was made showing more protesters than actually there.

The accusation was to justify more military protection.

If people in Portland are concerned Trump wants justification to bring in more National Guard or whatever, and created a fake photo, then shooting lasers at actual aircraft endangering everyone would be playing into his hands.

No...I don't claim to know Trump's motives.

My point is the use of lasers pointed at pilots pretty well justifies a stronger action by law enforcement.

They're playing right into Trump's hands giving him a reason for more boots on the ground.

If a helicopter ever crashed because of a laser, the FBI would swarm in and find the people responsible.
