So, here we are. In the middle of massive casualty causing wars, Abraham Lincoln won re-election in 1864 as did FDR in 1944. But in 2024 a peacetime POTUS who ended America's "forever wars" was undone by a trifecta of terror in the likes of Vladimir Putin, Benjamin Netanyahu, and Donald J. Trump, who just wore away at our Rock of Gibraltar with problems from all flanks. I trust the Democrats will nominate a charismatic and compassionate candidate with name recognition that won't hurt the downticket and who can stand up to those three bullies.
