For the most part, SCOTUS (and for two hundred years the US Senate) have been the bastions of white privilege protecting the status quo and the 1% super-wealthy in our country. If not for previous Democratic POTUS nominating progressive jurists like Thurgood Marshall or Joan Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the American people would be in worse shape today.

Imagine how life will improve for hard-working Americans when SCOTUS is reformed or progressives are the majority on the bench? A woman's reproductive rights would be secure and the right to sue US firearms manufacturers would be enshrined.

The same applies to the US Senate. One day the Democrats will have a clear majority and beneficial legislation for all Americans will pass smoothly. Sen Ted Cruz (R-TX) filibustered Obamacare all night and the Civil Rights Act of 1964 spent 72 days in filibuster before LBJ was finally able to sign in into law on 2 July 1964.

Perhaps Gov. Brian Kemp can get ahead of the voter suppression problem with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). And I wonder if the Federal Election Commission (FEC) can help also.
