Those who oppose Obamacare seem to think that Americans without coverage will just not show up at a doctor's office or a hospital ER, seeking treatment. And the billionaire class will just cut back the level of coverage provided to their employees, so as to preserve their profit and foist healthcare costs onto working Americans. Well, your voting power is gone, African Americans. So too is representative government which will fight for your interests. Your ability to seek redress for wrongs committed against you is now pretty much gone. Having your children grow up with role models in elected office or the military will soon be toast, especially in Red States. You can look forward to poll taxes, guess the number of pennies in the jar, and the presentation of 5-6 forms of photo ID when trying to vote. I thought Drinky Pete's performance this week was successful. He didn't want to answer any questions, sought to push back hard on any challenge, provided a huge word salad responding to nearly every question, took no responsibility for the conduct of the war, tried to bully the Dems at every turn, didn't provide any support for his estimate of the cost of the war, and spoke only in passing about the real purpose of the hearings, i.e., to discuss next year's defense budget. Of course, for those providing oversight, the week was lacking. Maybe after the November elections (if they are held) things will be different...

Big deal. Without sworn testimony or being deposed under oath, Pammy's words will soothe only those GOPers who think they can get away with trying to snooker the American Public. "Oh, she talked to us, so she must have been truthful..." holds no water with those seeking the truth...

I predict the watch parties in arenas, cinemas and sports stadiums world-wide will be fun events, with high attendance and lots of cheering.
