Chuffy, you sound like an annoyed tv pundit who expects everyone to have an instant concrete opinion about every event or issue that arise. Usually it is prudent to observe how different nations and leaders react before instantly jumping to a conclusion about how a huge and complicated set of circumstances will play out over the short, middle and long term. Sorry. But that is what smart people normally do.

"For once, try to take off the partisan lenses. They are causing you to misunderstand the far bigger, and imo, far more interesting consequences of this action."
So, you don't actually have an opinion yet, but you're happy to discount the opinions of other people ... is that a fair assessment?
It's perfectly reasonable to feel it out, not knowing what is to come. But the POTUS just committed an act of war against a sovereign nation without the consent of Congress and in opposition to his DNI's very recent assertions under oath. Before you jump in and start making statements about partisan lenses and misunderstanding the far bigger and far more intersting consequences, maybe you should just sit out until you've formed a coherent opinion that's worthy of discussion.
The enemy, being democracy and the Constitution?
